Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) Hair restoration therapy is a nonsurgical treatment that has been clinically proven to be effective in reversing both male and female pattern hair loss. During PRF therapy, we will draw your blood and spin it down in a centrifuge in order to separate the blood products. This allows us to concentrate and then remove the PRF so that it may be injected into the scalp. Once injected, PRF can help to awaken dormant hair follicles and stimulate growth.
Once injected the growth factors in PRF stimulate blood circulation to dormant hair follicles and promote new capillary development. This in turn stimulates cellular regeneration and awakens the hair follicles to begin growing healthier and thicker hair.
Results may begin to appear after 3 – 4 months of treatments. You will first notice less hair loss overall, followed by new growth and healthier appearing hair.
We typically recommend monthly treatments for 4 – 6 months followed by 2 – 3 treatments per year to maintain results. Results and timelines may vary as everyone responds differently.
There is minimal discomfort during PRF therapy. We use a topical numbing agent prior to beginning your injections.
PRF hair therapy is safe and discreet, there is no downtime. We recommend avoiding excessive heat, swimming, and hair products for 48 hours following the procedure.
