Dermal Fillers

Fall special $100 off filler

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal filler is an injectable medication that contains a synthetic form of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA is a natural substance found in your skin, which plays a role in skin hydration and volume. In our mid-twenties, we begin to produce about 1% less collagen each year leading to facial structure changes and volume loss. Dermal fillers can be used to help restore volume and redefine structures and contours, leading to a more youthful and hydrated appearance. Our goal at Ohm is to keep you looking natural and refreshed

Where are Dermal Fillers used?

Dermal fillers can be used in your lips, nasolabial folds, cheeks, tear troughs, jaw, chin, and temples. In your lips, dermal fillers can help create a more plump and hydrated appearance and smooth out lip lines as well as correct asymmetries and create a more defined shape. They can help create a more youthful appearing and lifted cheek, rejuvenate deep under-eye circles (tear troughs), or give you more volume in your jaw, chin, or temples. Your provider can focus on your specific areas of concern or provide a full facial balancing technique.

What should I expect during and after a filler treatment?

As will all injectable procedures, there is some discomfort expected however we will numb topically and sometimes locally (with an injection) to minimize discomfort. Some bruising, swelling, and pain is expected following the treatment and will improve gradually over the next few days. You should avoid exercise 24-48 hours after the procedure.

How long do fillers last?

Dermal fillers are gradually and naturally absorbed by the body. Depending on the filler used and the individual person, fillers can last from 6 months up to a year or more. If you have had filler placed by another provider and are unhappy with placement or if it has migrated away from its intended location, you may be a candidate to have your filler dissolved. Dissolving filler uses a natural enzyme, Hyaluronidase, to break down the HA in the filler. Book a consult with us to discuss this further.
